A Little Thing Called Love

" I believe that two people are connected at the heart, and it doesn't matter what you do, or who you are or where you live; there are no boundaries or barriers if two people are destined to be together." - Julia Roberts

Arnav Singh Raizada was the kind of man who was never easily surprised. Everything that happened around him happened according to his discretion, as per his direction. After all, he had complete control over his mind and actions; Every step he took- measured, Every move he made- calculative. There was never a time when he questioned himself, never saw right or wrong but only profit or loss.

But alas that was before one crucial factor entered his life- Khushi Kumari Gupta-Singh Raizada.

Arnav, although sexy and wanted beyond all measures, could count the number of serious relationship he's had in exactly one hand- Four. All the girls were, of course, drop dead gorgeous and had an IQ to match it as well. After all ASR was never the one to settle for anything less than the best. Even though Arnav chose these suitable companions carefully and only after thorough analysis, every relationship was a disaster. And that was putting it in mild terms. They all ended with the girl walking out on him.

Every single time.

But of course the great business tycoon never dwelled on such trivial things like failed relationships, his busy schedule simply didn't allow for such random musings. So he went on with his life not caring a whit about how or why the girls left him.

The reason, although incomprehensible by the mighty ASR, was very simple. Each one of them had been irrevocably in love with him. They fell in love with his silent gestures, his utmost dedication to his job and the silent fire that raged in his eyes. They fell hard and they fell fast for this man but the said man in question, as was the rule, never returned their feelings. They knew this one fact very well and hence, being the intelligent girls that they were, left before things got too complicated. Or so they tried to convince themselves.

Ah! How the mighty have fallen.

One touch, one smile, one tear- all enough to crumble him to the very core and rattle his highly poised state of mind. What girls wouldn't give to be in the place of Khushi Singh Raizada! The girl had him wrapped around her pinkie finger. He would do anything for her, anything at all. The irony of the situation, as fate would have it, was that Mrs Raizada did not know even an inkling of the power she had over him. But perhaps that was the allure that drew Arnav to her, made him want, no, need her.

No matter how much he tried to convince himself that it didn't matter, that she didn't matter and that all this mess would end in six months, it was futile. Every time he looked into her eyes he fell a little bit more in love with her, every time she laughed he fell a little bit more in love with her, every time she blushed under his gaze he fell a little bit more in love with her. Pray tell, how's a man supposed to hold a grudge when everything she did made him forget who he was, sucked him into her world and filled his with colours?

He tried his best and damn hard to fight the alien emotions of love. Regrettably for him however, how much ever Mr Raizada refused to acknowledged his feelings, Mrs Raizada seeped into his system that much more.

So at the end of the day the message was clear, as Arnav tends to his plants and tries to hate Khushi, he was forever bound to her by the invisible strings of love that will hold her to him even in the hardest of times, for they are yet to come.
